Ladies Section

The Ladies section of The Anglesey Golf Club is a small but friendly bunch, with a wide range of golfing abilities. Our aim is to be inclusive and fun!

The ladies have 3 tee times every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday starting at 10:20. No pre-booking required, no handicap required to play, just role up, meet the ladies and have fun! (*handicap may be required to win prizes in certain competitions).

Our section runs the majority of its competitions from April to October with a mix of Stableford and strokeplay formats. We start every season with an all-prize competition, so everyone is a winner! Members volunteer to sponsor a variety of fun competitions such as 3 Clubs and Putter and 9 Hidden Holes.
For those more competitive, there are GUW Medals, Board Competitions and Shield Matches. The Anglesey Golf Club Ladies Section competes in shield matches in the Ladies North Wales Golf Association. This allows you the opportunity to play on other great courses in North Wales.

For the die-hard golfers, during the winter months there is an eclectic competition. Also, at Anglesey Golf Club we don’t play off mats!

There is a small ladies’ committee of volunteers who work with the members to make your experience at Anglesey Golf Club fun and memorable.

The Anglesey Golf Club is more than just golf. This club is at the heart of the small, Welsh speaking village of Rhosneigr. We are a community hub, hosting several events like bingo nights and talks. The club is also the perfect setting for a family lunch or a drink with a mate. After one visit you will be one of the family.
